Unbeaten Great Britain through to semi-finals in mixed doubles

Great Britain are through to the semi-finals and remain unbeaten in the mixed doubles curling event at the 2026 Winter Olympics.

They prevailed over their North American opponents, Canada and the United States, as Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat have carried on their impressive streak in Italy.

They beat Canadian duo Jocelyn Peterman and Brett Gallant 7-5 in the morning session, who had only lost one round robin session against the USA on Friday.

Team GB’s momentum was unyielding, as they were victorious against their unbeaten rivals, the United States, in the afternoon session.

Cory Thiesse and Korey Dropkin are the reigning world champions after winning the 2023 World Curling Championship in South Korea.

Following both matches, Dodds said: “We’re really happy to have secured qualification,” adding, “Those were two big games against sides who both believe they can win this. We knew we had to step up because our last four matches were probably the toughest.”
